Jacqueline and Derek's Wedding Day - St. Alphonsus Parish, The Harris Building, Grand Rapids, Michigan

It is so important for me to fade into the background during wedding days so that I can be documenting moments of true emotion, and I really felt like this day is a perfect example of those efforts. The support and love of friends and family is so evident in every photograph.

Jackie and Derek's day started out by getting ready with their closest friends in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids. Gifts to each other were exchanged, details were recorded, and there may have been a few tears. Their ceremony took place at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. What a beautiful place to say I do. Grand murals, high ceilings, stained glass to die for.. all brought together through God's presence in the church- and his very apparent presence in the unity of marriage. Once the ceremony had concluded we took a drive to Riverside Park and the Monroe Center Rooftop for some extra photo opportunities before heading to the Harris Building for the reception. The reception had a very important guest star appearance, too, when Sparty decided to join in on the dance party! What a fun day and night it was getting to celebrate such a wonderful bride and groom. May their love live on forever and never stop growing!
